Realme 12 Pro series Launch date
The Realme 12 Pro series was launched on January 29, 2024, in India. Regarding the pricing of the series, it has reached a point where its pricing looks like a value flagship range.
For the Realme 12 Pro series, the Chinese smartphone maker has partnered with Ollivier Savéo for the design. Savéo is a well-known French luxury watchmaker who has collaborated with brands such as Rolex. The phone is available in Submarine Blue and Navigator Beige color options.
Realme 12 Pro series Display and Camera
The Realme 12 Pro has a triple-camera setup housed inside the camera module, which is a step up from the dual-camera setup on the predecessor.
There’s a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor with OIS, a 32MP Sony IMX702 with 2x optical zoom and OIS, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. Thankfully, there is no useless 2-megapixel macro sensor here. For selfies, Realme has included a 16-megapixel camera.
As per the official website, The display also has a centered punch-hole for the 32MP selfie camera Sony IMX 615. The Realme 12 Pro+ now sports a circular camera island bigger than its predecessor. It houses an LED flash and three cameras – 50MP primary Sony IMX890 with OIS, 64MP OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto with OIS, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The telephoto unit has 3x optical zoom and 6x in-sensor zoom.
Realme 12 Pro series CPU and RAM
Under the hood, the Realme 12 Pro+ has the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The handset features dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and GPS connectivity. Realme has packed a 5,000mAh battery on the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G with 67W fast charging support. The smartphone runs Android 14-based Realme UI 5.0. Other features in the Realme 12 Pro+ include an IP65 rating, 5G connectivity, Hi-Res dual speakers, and Dolby Atmos support.
The phone is available in three RAM and storage options. The base 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant are priced competitively at Rs. 29,999, while the 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 31,999. Lastly, there’s a top-of-the-line variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which is priced at Rs. 33,999. All given prices are without any launch price discount or any bank offers.

Processor
The Realme 12 Pro 5G comes with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, which is a 4nm chipset said to provide better performance and efficiency when compared to the older model. The chipset is paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB onboard storage.
Connectivity
The handset features dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and GPS connectivity. Realme has packed a 5,000mAh battery in the Realme 12 Pro 5G with 67W fast charging support. The phone runs Android 14-based Realme UI out of the box, which is a good thing as some brands are still selling smartphones with Android 13 out of the box, despite claiming to provide 3 years of Android version updates, which in turn becomes only a 2-android version update.
Price
The phone is available in three RAM and storage options. The base 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant are priced competitively at Rs. 25,999, while the 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 26,999. All given prices are without any launch price discount, or any bank offers.
